We've just changed over from storage heaters on a Total Control electricity tariff where the Hydro turn off-peak power on/off using a radio signal.
The new heating is on Economy 10 - that delivers power 24/7 and charges a different (lower) rate for three periods per day, so I need a programmer/timer for the water tank.
The tank has two immersion heaters, one that ran through the old Total Control system, and a booster that was available 24/7. These both came through a single box with an on/off switch, and a rotary boost switch.
Ideally I want a digital programmer that is easy to set and adjust, with a separate boost control button. Both elements are 3kw though so it needs to be tough enough - any recommendations on make/model, supplier?
