just changed the sensor and would this be classed as broke or would it have been fine....

......see i dont know but the garage said it had come apart......as the pic shows....

 

As i understand it the bit underneath is an insulator and is a loose part so it hasn't come apart. The usual problem'the sleeving on the wires,looks mint!

The bit underneath is a magnet, they often come detached, sensor looks fine.

.....i asked them to change it as i've been having an electrical problem.....when i picked the car up they said it looked knackered cos it was split......but i asked them to change it....just means i have another

 

Its not split, its a two piece unit.

 

The one i changed when i first got my car,the wire insulation was all cracked and i think the wires were touching.
