Not ford related but thought it might interest a few people.
Apparently Specky has just done a 10.7 on road legal tyres at the pod.
Genuinely surprised at that, thats taken half a second off his previous best.

What would a similar sized FWD Ford need to do that time?

Its 520bhp, built in his garage at home, fitted with nortech manifolds and a GT35 turbo, on an old EXP48 DTA ecu mapped by track and road in rainham.
He was on treaded Mickey T DOT marked tyres, same as most people run at TOTB and other street legal competitions.
He did try a run on slicks as well, and got into a 10.5
He has still not used the nitrous yet, wants to get what he can out of it without it first.
As far as im aware thats the fastest time a car on treaded tyres has ever ran FWD in the UK.

It sort of takes the myth out of the fact that you need to go to a tuner to get an engine built with good power. I wonder what his hourly rate is?
Well done that man.
PS what does the Tigra weigh?

As always he seemed pretty chilled out about it, lol, he's just interested in making it quicker again now, he tends to dismiss every achievement and look for the next few tenths every time he sets a new record with it.
