Default cosworth a/c system

Hi all! My car (sapphire cosworth 4wd) has got a/c since the day I purchased it but it is not the factory one: the a/c compressor is bigger, the a/c radiator is unknown from what car is it, the small radiator above the heater unit is I think the original that the car should have since everything fits well there but the plumbing is not the factory one... and I come to the issue that I have: the a/c drives a 2way butterfly valve via a servomotor that it is connected between the heater unit inside the car and the engine jacket outlet/ inlet for the heater unit. When the a/c is off the water normally goes from the engine to the heater and then returns to the engine again but when a/c is on the water bypasses the heater and goes directly from the engine outlet to the engine inlet. Can I remove this valve since it is plastic and brakes all the time and feed the heater as original or it has to be bypassed? The a/c regulates the temp via a thermistor inside the cabin so it is working like climatronic in a way if that helps... Or anyone knows how the car should be original connected as regarding the heater hoses?

the normal heater box in a non a/c sierra uses air flaps to control how much heat to give out. there is always hot water going through the heater matrix and more air is passed through it to get more heat. if you do not use the bypass, your a/c will always be fighting your heater and it will lose.

it should be possible to get a different valve out of something else that is cheaper and easier to get (although don't ask me what, i guess you'll have to look around a scrap yard)
