Default Alcohol withdrawl symptoms

Does any one get this?

I'm on my third day since returning from a proper 7 day session in Ibiza!
I've got the shakes, insomnia/nightmares, sweating constantly and I'm off balance etc!

Anyone know of anything over the counter that can put the chemical balance in my brain back to normal?

did you do any gear there?

or just drinking?

the main issue is you did not get any real sleep, ie you did not go into REM sleep for 7 days.

do you find you have nightmares and you know they going on but cannot wake up?

Last year i was in Ibiza for 2 weeks, when i came back i was really bad for about a week, exactly as you described, couldn't sleep, sweaty, was unsettled, dizzy, weak etc...

Just need to stick it out. Probably a mild case of dependency? Your body has been fuelled by drink for so long, then you stop all together it needs to adapt back to normal i guess.

Just kill yourself now, save the NHS some money for when you turn into a raging alcoholic later in life. It'll be easier on your family too.

Dont mean to worry you but there was a few of us out 3 weeks ago and 4 out the 5 of us came back with swine flu and it doesnt sound too different from your symptoms... bad fever etc. We found out the day we left that our hotel (ibiza rocks) had 42 confirmed cases the week we stayed.

Right you have that lack of REM sleep thing its got a name, but I cannot remmeber what it is lol.

it will get better in the next couple of days once you get more REM sleep, but when it does sort its self out you will be very tired in the mornings

I feel exactly the same way after a very heavy weekend. actually had to stay off work as i work on site and I would of been a danger to myself and others. Didnt sleep all night, my heart rate was fucking crazy, i was seeing shit when i closed my eyes and was shaking so badly laying still in bed was difficult. Managed to get about 3 hours sleep between 7 and 10 this morning but was having nightmares, couldnt work out if i was asleep or awake. Even woke up screaming at one point. Fuck drinking like that again/

I've suffered with panic attacks for 2years now and yeh I know how bad they make u feel! Not had one for about 6 months as I learnt to deal with them and catch my thoughts before they trigger the attacks!

Have you tried any resolve? I was away on a lads holiday and bang on it for a week in Zante, by the end of the week i was propper fucked. One of my mates got out the resolve (normally used for when you have the shits and stuff) and made me mix it with a pint of water and drink the lot! tastes rank but replaces all the salts and minerals you will have lost out of the body through sweating, pissing etc. i perked up pretty quick! Apart from not drinking it's the perfect hangover cure!

Whats resolve?

As said before it doesnt feel like a hangover.
It feels like Vertigo - like ive been out on a boat trip all day long and when you get back on land you still feel like your on it even though your not.

Got the shits real bad along with nightmares, sweating, confusion - ive just been to the shop and tried to pay for some stuff all in Euros - I even counted them onto the counter and the shop assistant thought I was taking the piss untill she had to point it out to me!!!
Funny but its getting to be a pain in the arse now!!! I know another beer would cure it straight away but dont want to start going down that route

You buy it in boots and i think even my local tesco's and sainsburys do it to looks like this:

Find it in the chemist bit, give it a try! it sorted me out when i was dizzy and all spaced out. Basically it contains all the good salts and minerals you will have lost and now need to restore, if you've been on a week long bender you may need to take a couple - 4 hours between each one though. Oh and obviously read the instructions and check the ingredients if you've got any alergies or intollerences to stuff.

you need a good b complex like b100 100mg of all b vitamins from holland and barratt
its the b vitamins that get lost when you drink and these regulate your serotonin and dopermine levels in the brain especially thiamin b1

its what you need tho mate its what the doctor would give you thiamin 100 mg , its the low dopermine that causes the nightmares and the withdraw symptoms any substance you take that raises dopamine levels are addictive eg: cocain alcohol caffine etc your body is low on dopamine so its craving for something to raise it to normal levels

yep, what he said-vit b complex and thiamine.

A&E depts can give out chlordiazapoxide which is a sedative to ease the withdrawal symptoms and its usually tapered down to wean the body off.

You'll probably be over the worst of it now though.

If you take them Resolve, dont take paracetamol on top of it. Your liver has had enough to deal with!

Swine flu can have the same symptoms!

But assuming its withdrawal you can actually die from having a seizure so its very serious, my advice would be to get to the doctors and ask for valium, this will level everything up and make you feel normal, after a few days stop and you will be fine again.

In a different kind of way, for a different kind of club

OP, you need some berrocca tablets, shit loads of fruit and veg, water, and if you can some exercise before a good night's sleep.

Seasoned caners might laugh at you for being such a light weight when they manage to pull themselves together in time for work every Monday morning
