Default Careful when using brake cleaner

Spotted this on another forum and thought it worth posting

Definitely should read as it if you use this as it can be very dangerous

I thought the same thing after posting it and did a quick search - brake cleaner is basically tetrachloroethylene which is what this warning is about so without having a can to hand I would say yes

If anyone has a can of any brake cleaner to hand can they check?

It's also a general warning to check stuff rather than just throwing it on a car and trusting there's nothing nasty in it.

TET has been banned from all the aerosol products I use at work. Unfortunatly whatever they have replaced it with doesn't work as well

I did think that as well tabetha - left it a long time even though he then knew how nasty the stuff was

Seems we may be OK over here then but better safe than sorry
