I may get shot down for this but fuck it, anyone thats a true dog lover should never breed dogs just to make money, that should be the last reason a dog is bred. after all the costs and the proper reason for breeding a dog money thats left over from the sale is a bonus but should never be used as the main motivation to want to breed a certain dog, thats where these horrible puppy farms come from.

the top breaders wont stud your dog unless your known on the scene type of thing.they wont stud them with anyone for these reasons.
and the top breeders dogs are show dogs and nationaly known...not just a case of getting a litter of pups and selling for 2.5k.

I buy and sell Lotus elises even do the odd sneeky trackday sometimes, got someone in the trade that buys them from me so never have to sell them private. I have four at the moment.
Also do quite a few Smart cars, might sound abit gay but they sell well and you never have a problem with a bunch of scallys coming to look at them like some cars Iv had in the passed and would never have again just for this reason R32 golf being one.

im not planing on a dog farm or anything like that just breeding my bulldog two or 3 times to make some cash..and believe me when i say i love dogs and all animals for that matter and if i think the new owner off the pup or pups is not upto my standards then the pups will not be leaving me...they will be full pedigree so the usual riff raff will nt be buying them
Breeding a bitch 2 or 3 times?
A bulldog is probably one of the most complicated dogs to breed. And many often die during birth.
When you breed a bitch, they should always have a minimum of one seasons rest in between litters. So, breeding from her 3 time should theoretically take you a minimum of 3 years!
bulldog pups are also one of the hardest to hand rear if mum doesnt do it properly.

my inlaws are beagle dog breeders, & pedigree cat breaders, she's been doing it 20 years and its not what you think - and i advise strongly against going into it. Without meaning to sound harsh i think your being a little naive with the dog breeding idea
things you need to consider
1) vets bills
2) vacinations
3) clearing up shit & puke
4) helping the bitch give birth if needed
5) dealing with puppies that arent breathing when first born
6) emotional side of things
7) Insurance
that's assuming all the puppies are healthy when first born
thats just to name a few; there are lots of other things to consider
there is lots of easiers ways to make money.

i do the odd PJ when they are about but i moved here only 4 years ago so don't really know too many people. I get the odd cossie management conversions to do and general mechanic work, problem is, i never know what price to put on a job!! i've just removed an engine, stripped it, took it for all machine work, rebuilt it, refitted and got it running for Ł140 LOL

Iv tried shares as well but not doing to well currently 3k down and they got suspended from the market for not handing there accounts in or something they have just come back on at half price. Its a printing company we use so I thought I had inside information lol

The quickest way to make money ( and enemies ) is to find something your really good at, then undercut other people so you get the work, be it landscaping / mechanical work / electrics or what ever. Making enough money to buy an Escort Cosworth in 4 months is going to be hard work, so what ever you're going to do, you need to decide and quickly !!!
Good luck with it too, keep us updated on how you get on with it !

Finding it boring is the reason most people who give it a go skip the research bit - actually finding out how the company is doing and where they could be going. If you don't do your research and just jump into a stock, all you are doing is gambling and you WILL lose! The one I've highlighted in bold is a perfect example of this...
Also, there are plenty of mistakes you can make by being greedy such as buying on the way down in the hope that the share price will at least break even with the first ones you bought, meaning you make a profit from buying when the price was down. Again, if you haven't done your research and essentially no nothing about the company you are investing in, the share price will likely keep going down and you will end up with an even bigger loss!
If you let your pride rule you and can't cut your losses when your brain tells you to, don't bother with shares.

If you are really interested you could try reading the following books -
'Make a Million in Twelve Months' by James Hipwell & Anil Bhoyrul - Gives you an idea of the kind of techniques you could use when trading shares to try and make a quick profit.
'The Naked Trader' by Robbie Burns - A very good book with down-to-earth advice(and warnings) for someone beginning to trade.

I didn't get in on the banks as I had money tied up in Menzies! Sold them the other day on news. Since then the price has risen a hell of a lot more. If I'd held onto them till today I would have more than trebled my profit.
That's life though!

Do you realise the work what needs to be done to look after the mother and all the pups ? Not easy far from easy and many have to have cesarean sections as the pups are just to chunky to come out. There a fairly unhealthy dog to start with so expect many problems and not the easy ride your hoping for. I know down in the north of England, British Bulldogs are not selling at all people can't justify the 1.5 to 2 k. Know of a litter by my local vet of very good pedigree and she has still got the 5 at home 8 months on.
I have two bulldogs a male and a bitch, I'm having my bitch have one litter only when she is about 2 years old, for the experience of it and to get some good healthy pups out there as my two are very very fit, not the short legged bred for the show ring look what screwed this brred up with all the inbreeding, mine are decent height can breathe and run etc.
Good luck in the money making anyway in whatever you do.
John

P.S You mention they give birth by cesarean sections, partly correct. They don't always as they try to give birth naturally if they can. You can't just lug her of to the vets and ask for one. Your going into this idea very blind.
Ourt of interest who is the breeder you have got the pup of ? Kennell name etc.

Only a small company, based in Manchester, do printing, have a software division etc. They were 20p ish last year I bought a load at about 18p (not a good buy, a director was around our house sayting they would hit 50p this summer ha) then dropped down to about 13p stayed there for ages, then they got suspended for about a month and when they came back (about a week ago now) they were at 5.5p I didnt notice until late that day so ended up buying 3k's worth at 5.8p they keep going up very slowly daily and are at 6.7p at the moment. If they hit 10p I break even yay! As the shares I bought at 5.8p offset the ones at 18p, at this rate im going to own the company . Seriously I only wanted to invest 1.5k and keep buying more to try offset to bad buy im nearly at 10k now shares are great fun!
Todays trades in them are:
10:07 14,249 @ 6.88p
09:37 375,000 @ 6.50p
09:05 100,000 @ 6.50p
Anyone got any other tips on what they have been following over time?

As M said their one of the hardest to breed, an old friend of mine and her mum breed them aad have done for years. Made me laugh when they said they had to take it to someone who had to help with the breeding as their dog had to be helped getting his cock in lol, their a hard dog to breed otherwise. Plus as said to make good money u have to be known really, and paperwork for both dogs. My friend actually sold Kirsty Gallagher a bulldog pup years ago!!!
The cost to actually breed dogs is actually more than most people think when its pedigree dogs!!

No bitch imo should be bred until theyre 2 - 2.5yrs old minimum anyway. I have a Basset Hound bitch, shes currently 10 months old, and i wouldnt even think of breeding her until shes 2.5yrs old. Even then the reason id breed her is to contribute back into the breed knowing my pup comes from show winning bloodlines, the kennel alone had 5 generations living with them. Alot of research should also be done when choosing a stud dog coz the last thing youd want is to have a stud dog with the same small faults your bitch will inevitably have, the idea is to wean any faults out etc with careful selection of the stud.
You sound like your not going to be over breeding her, if you do, but i believe breeding for a decent return may dissapoint you a bit when the shear amount of work involved gets taken into account.
Dave.

I own a Bulldog, and really disagree with cunts breeding for profit. My girl was much cheaper than the current market vaule, due to the club. She was bred for health and for the bloodine, nothing else.
Breeding Bullies is littered with problems and shortfalls. I wouldnt go that way. Nothing sadder than seeing an unheathly animal, bred purely for cash.
