kev i would recommend a yamaha GP1300R. you'll get a 2007 for around 5-6k and there amazing. theres about 10 of us that have yamaha superjet stand ups and a couple of boys have the sit downs too. the GP1300R is crackin and is good for 70+mph!

my step bro bought one on friday been out playing all day.

not had much experience of seadoo etc would recommend yamaha all the way tho! get youself a stand up at least theres a bit of skill involved!!!!

an 09 130 gti is £7299
an 09 130 gti se is £7999
and a 155 gti se is £8699

people will usually favour a ski brand over the other like cars etc.having riden most at sumtime or another in all honesty the gti is a very good stable ski.
the yam equvilent is the vx deluxe 110hp at £8199 or the vx cruiser 110hp at £8599
or a kawasaki 15f or a new ultra lx but its slightly dearer at £9599 but has 162hp.
where are you going to ride?the kawasaki hull are the very best in the sea hands down!!

theres a guy in troon got a 2007 155gti se in yellow done 12hrs and wants £6200 for it hes been advertising it a while so he may take offers.hes spoke to me at brassie but dont know him.pm me if your intrested and il forward his number its advertised again this onth in a pw mag.
anything else you need just ask mate.

kevin , dont want to be a damp squib but one thing to remember about theses things is they are dangerous , ive had two seadoo 1st took my 5 year old nephew out on lock lomond and some twat flew by too fast a toppled us off when we were going slow, i know that its easy to spin the ski back round the right way and get back on but not while youve got a 5 year old in one hand and trying to stay a float with the other , bobed about in the water for about half an hour till someone with a brain came by
2nd one was kawa , back at loch lomond seen a boy come off his , me and my mate went over too see he was ok as didnt see him getting back on , pulled him out the water facedown dead , broken neck we were later told sold that funny enough never been on one since

totally agree wth the above seen a few badish accidents but not a death!
there was a guy down south an experienced skier went out and never came back.his ski got washed up on isle of man 5 days latr and his body was wased up on south of france 2weeks later.
ive had two bad offs on skis last time big chuck was there aswell.leg was bruised from knee down smashed my ankle and bruised ribs also burst my knee open and and elbow badly.
at 30mph if you cum off the water is 1.2 times harder than concrete to hit.try 50-60mph.

We have one of these

Mental 166hp and is crazy fast 4 stroke all good for straight line not the best freestyle but you can get some great custom stuff,

Just be bloody carefull though as they are very dangerous i use them at work all the time at work and have seen lots of people get hurt.

Baba, thats mine Lee is on about. It's not 400, it's close to 330 now though. It's an rxp riva racing limited edition. 1600 supercharged stage 3+ will get some upto date pics of it. I have fallen out with it a bit as I came off and broke my arm in 3 places after the Azure boys had the bladerunner out I thought I could keep up and turn the same lol.

i maybe didnt word that very welli,m sure there will be good older ones around that have been kept and maintained by entusiasts, but there will be a lot of dogs around and i dont know much about them so dont want to buy an old one and find i spend more time fixing it than riding it as i dont know much about them

i,m liking this alot though http://www.sea-doo.com/en-US/watercr...ifications.htm

any comments welcome even if it is you will kill yourself on one

ive had a yamaha vx110 which was a great starter ski and then moved onto a yamaha gp1300r which was awsome really recomend one.

personally i wouldnt spend money on a seadoo unless it was a rxt or a rxp and then make sure you get the supercharger washers done as they are the week spot.

personally stick to yanmaha or kawasaki the 250x are becomming a bargain now

the RXT IS are very good skis and the most inteligent pwc ever made with suspension and i-drive.....brake and reverse and neutral.
these have been tested in the ocean in US and the feedback has been great many reconing it can rival the ultra260x in chop but more comfort.

seadoo 4-stroke uses closed-loop cooling the other two use lake or sea water.....

supercharged 3seaters seadoos got the rxt at 215hp,rxt is and rxt-x both at 255
kawasakis got ultra 260x or 250x up until summer there 260 and 250hp
yamahas got the fzs or until this summer fx sho both 210hp.
all brilliant skis and all very very fast

the seadoos are every bit as good as the other two ask anyone thats had multiple skis or riden multiple.
also honda does a turbo ski...the aqua trax f12x.

is it supercharged your after now lol?

this is the 2009 musclecraft shootout tested head-to-head by Independant Researchers (Florida Institue of Technology personel and Fun Jet Magazine.all boats are as stock.
seadoo now use the shootout as a promo video.........http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ti4A9SxkYl0

heres the 08 shootout which seadoo also ended up using as a promo-video.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmBxm...layer_embedded

baba, great info there, been doing a lot of reading up on the RXT IS and it seems to be a superb machine not read anything bad about it.....so yup supercharged 0-50 in under 3 sec

ps did you come and buy some cossie bits off me a few years back?

aye got a few bits off you......you were building that escort up at the time and i was trying to buy bits you had for that to.
the p-x and t-x are actually restricted by the grate to cap the top end speed. It will honestly throw you over the bars if you dont hold on tight when your wide-open and chop the throttle.
theres an unwritten agrement in US between the coastgaurd and the PWindustry stating that no out the crate pw will go over 65-66mph.so rather than smash the rule theyve made it so fast to get there hence why there out the crate race skis.a simple grate swap, intake and prop repitch is seeing 74-76mph on the gps costs around £1000.
the ultra 260x for about £1150 will do 71mph but will obliterate others in the sea except the RXT IS.
the fzs will do 70-71mph for about £1000.

the seadoo 4-tec egine is the same basic unit now as when the rxp/t had it except now larger supercharger, injectors, external i/c,diffrent map,the engines are very strong stock and if regularly serviced last many hundred hours.

well i bought the seadoo RXT iS i got it as an ex demo its 2009 and only 4 hours on the clock, supercharged 255HP, had it out for the first time today, tried it on the learner key for 5 mins then thought well that enough of that plugged in the proper key and OMG what a fookin weapon had it out for 2 hours and i could swear my arms are 2" longer got the hang of it fairly quickly and i only ended up in the water once
theres a vid of one of these on youtube racing a ferrari and they recon they clocked the ski at 0-50 in 2.9 sec
its the first jetski with suspension and brakes
superb bit of kit cant wait to get out next weekend again
heres some pics
