Default Seized sunroof

The sunroof is seized on my 3 door sierra cosworth, has any 1 got any decent ideas on how to free it up?

It could be that the rubber seal is stuck to the roof, you could try spraying it with WD40 and banging it to free it up, if it's the mechanism you'll have to remove the roof lining I guess

Best way is to use a plastic ruler lots of soapy water around edge, and prise the plastic ruler between the two all the way around, this frees the seal, now go around the edge again applying pressure to loosen a bit more, then try handle apply a bit of pressure and thump the sunroof, it will come loose, but does need patience, as otherwise the mechanism can break.

Our Saff has a seized sunroof, have tried to free it off, ended up stripping the mech and now its totally foooked. Iam not quite sure how you can remove the whole mech if you carnt open the sunroof.

The seal isnt stuck its the mech

i cant undo the screws either shall I break it off and change the lot
