Default Quick Football Question - Euro 2004 Penalty Miss

In the penalty shoot-out against Portugal who missed the final penalty for England?

I've forgotten and it's really bugging me!

Thanks

i wouldnt mind him at boro but cant see him forcing his way into the first team!!

honestly i cant see him leaving - he's wasted enough time there so dont see the point in him jumping ship right now!

He's hardly wasted his time, he is captain of the team he supported as a boy and has won numerous trophies. He's an international and getting great money too. I think he just wants to be challenging for the title and the Champions League, and I can't see that happening in the foreseeable future.

I think if he goes it'll be Chelsea or a Spanish team.

All you Chelski fans can dream on. We will be looking AT LEAST 30million to buy him but it will be more like 50million by the time we reject offers and the chasers get frustrated and start throwing money everywhere.

If he does infact go, it will be to Real Madrid in my opinion. If he thinks he can win anything with Liverpool he will be going nowhere, he said so himself.

Anyway, the great player Steve is and the much i cherish every moment he plays for us...hes IS replaceable and WILL be replaced if he goes. I think Alonso could fill his boots, hes already a far better passer than Steve which is hard to beat!

We will see what the future holds.

if he signs for chelsea i will be so disappointed. sorry to any chelski fans but i hate the arrogant manager and it would be hard seeing him line up against us. that's why i also think he'll sign for real madrid, just can't see him facing liverpool in a blue shirt. oh and another thing chelski fans, you are nowhere near as good as arsenal were last season when they were at there best, it seems so many people are writing arsenal off but they will be there at the end of the season with the trophy, just you wait and see. and then next season the trophy wil return to it's rightful owners, the mighty liverpool fc

But for Ł25m they could get a real midfielder in Wright-Phillips from Man City.

Why waste Ł30-Ł50m on an injury prone midfielder.

But as B11GNS has said, whatever he costs will be small change.

Midfield 3 of Gerrard, Lampard and Wright-Phillips would be awesome. All English too

At the end of the day the manager is doing great things in his first season with the club, i didn't think replacing Ranieri was a good thing at the end of last season but thats been proved wrong. And i'd agree that they're not as good as arsenal last season but considering how long the players have been together (a few only this year) and that they are probably still getting to know how each other plays they can only get even better, so to the gooner fans, you're in for a tough season

Chelsea have a far better team/sqaud but Arsenal have Thierry Henry! If Chelsea had Henry they would easily be the best team in the world. Chelsea are a great striker short of being awesome!
