Default Holts tyre in a can thingy

Do they actually work? i dont have a spare 17 at the moment so was going to stick a can of this in the boot instead.

I suppose it has a certain distance before it deflates again? anyone used it?

its basically expanding foam mate, makes a mess of the inside of your tyre but does work, you just have to drive slowly on the journey to get it replaced.

Ok if you got a tiny nail in your tyre useless otherwise and certainly no good if you get a blowout much better trying to sort a spare of somekind.
Also once you have used it the tyre cant be fixed properly as ive tried many times and the patches dont stick

I've used it, had a flat. Put it in, was still flat, drove it straight away, thought I'll go to a garage to put air in it only 1 mile down the road, and by the time I got there it was fully inflated again with 32psi in it

Thumbs up then mate? apparently you have to heat the can on your car heater first?

Works well, but puts the wheel well out of balance

Cant remember what car i had,but i put some in a car and it came straight out the other side of the tyre as there was a big slash that i couldnt see,so was no good for that!

Some tyre fitters want extra cash to remove/fix a tyre if it's had foam in it. And as has been said if the tyre's damaged it's no use, but other than that it's a sensible idea if space is at a premium.
