Default Sad day...RIP

Went to the funeral today of the soldier who was blown up in Afghanistan,Jonathan Horne (my missus went to school with him) sadly we could not get in the church and we stood outside with hundreds of others for 2.5 hours. we were soaked but it was worth it. Sad day for all of his family but it was a send off i have never seen on this scale.

RIP

Sad news fella.....don't know what else to say. Been in the Army 22 years on 1 Sept and it doesn't get any easier. We have lost too many good men and women. When will the powers that be learn ????

Condolences Stebbo

It is fucking shit, Working at Lyneham it seems there are lads being repatriated almost daily ... I was shitting myself all tucked up in Kandahar air base, only having to dodge the odd rocket! Fuck knows what it is like for the lads on the front line, I have MASSIVE respect for all the front line guys, must be a mind fuck going out every day knowing cunts are trying to kill you ....

Sorry to hear that Sludge, one good thing is the Military do give lads a good send off, which hopefully makes the familys loss a tiny tiny bit easier
