Default PAC code?

Does anyone know if you can request your PAC code before your contract's ended? I'm with Orange but want to defect to O2 to get an iPhone.

My contract runs out in September but I don't want to wait!

To be fair very few providers actually get a signal here. Voda and Tmobile don't either but O2 does!

You're only entitled to the number once you're out of contract. Can you not buy the I-Phone now on a new contract, cut your Orance tariff right down, then submit the PAC in September to have the number transferred?

Hmmm, good idea, will look into it. Bit of an arse having a different number for a couple of months though.

You can request your pac code and they will give it to you but if you use it you will have to pay the remainder of the contract, Just ring orange and tell them you want to leave and they will give you an idea how much is left to pay and will give you a pac code if you still want it.

With most networks you only have 30 days to port in a pac code so you cant wait and transfer your nimber later on.
