as above its coming in from under the glove box in the right hand corner in the foot well, has anyone had this problem?

Pollen filter chap, its under the scuttle and can leak water into the cabin. Take the scuttle out and have a look is easy enough to see and fix.

The scuttle panel on the windscreen in front of the passenger side will need to be re-sealed or replaced. It leaks onto the pollen filter which then drains into passenger footwell. The scuttle is replaced as a matter of course by some windscreen companies when replacing the screen.

Parking the car uphill makes it worse.

Yes should defo be the pollen filter seal.This happened to my mams 51 reg focus.

had a new filter put in and was still letting water in so it must be the seal, thanks lads.

Yup easy fix that one. When they take the panel off to replace the pollen filter the clips break.

You will see that underneath the passenger side wiper the panel will not be sealed against the windscreen properly.

Ford have a modication for this common fault, which is a piece of adhesive foam to fill the gap

Get some new clips and do it properly

after pollen filter cover leak the other common thing on early focus's is the heater box leaking with condensation from a/c although pipe may seem clear.dash and heater box,strip box and seal job im afraid
