Default Any Architects/Structural Engineers?

Im after some drawing done up quickly, i got my mate to draw me some plans up to apply for planning, this has all gone threw, but not i need proper drawings for builders and building regs.

i have the drawings my friend has done on cad files, but obviously need them done with calcs for steels etc etc.

Anyone fancy doing this?

if so what you going to charge me.

Cheers

Ryan

My usual archietect has retired so i cant use him anyway, and would like to get this started ASAP, i.e i would like to start building with a few weeks.

you dont always need a set of detailed plans for building regs if you want to make a start quickly as you can go down the building notice route instead.

I prefer this way as the building regs officer makes a visit at various stages of the build and approves it as you go along. Your talking a month at least to get a set of detailed plans done then a good few weeks after while they are waiting approval, using the building notice you can make a start within days of submitting the application and no drawings are needed.

You will rely more on your builder to spec the build as he goes along and you will have to pay him to set it out initially. As long as its a traditional build any good builder will be happy to use the building notice process.

This way as changes happen which they always do, you dont have to keep altering your plans and re submitting them either

I can do CAD drawings no problem, but I work in the commercial glazing industry, so the building regs are a bit foreign to me. If you want to pass on the details of exactly what you want, feel free. There's a possibility I may be able to help, but can't make any promises until I've seen it, and probably discusses it with a few people I know will know more about the buidling side than me.
