Default ecu swapping???

hi all,
i'm a new here to passionford here goes my first question.
I have an s reg st24 and i have made the mistake of buying a second hand superchip which does'nt work in my ecu (just turns over and won't fire up?) i have managed to get hold of the ecu the chip came from which is also a s reg st24, and this brings me to the question can i swap them over without any problems???

The car wont start or run with a different ecu fitted bud, the ecu chipkey & transponder are all tied in together you would need the key or at least the chip from inside it and the transponder ring from the mondeo you got the ecu from for it to work.

Sorry i may have missread what your asking here, you will be able to swap the chip from one ecu to the other but if you swap the full ecu that is when you will run into problems.

no how do i activate it? just scraped off the lacquer and connected the chip to the terminal lug. does the superchip need to be preprogrammed to work with my ecu if so can i get it reprogrammed to work with mine?

The port on many EEC's is disabled and requires some soldering to enable it.
You wil need to call superchips I guess mate.
