Default cossy won't run............

i have just fitted the following to my 3 doo,r i was running l6 ecu and loom
bd14 inlet cam
10mm inlet spacer
4x4 inlet plenum with 4x4 tps
siemens 83 injectors
4x4 engine loom
l8 ecu
chip from stu

the car won't run very well at all. its hunting on idle, some times i can get it to rev, when it does rev it revs ok but then it will start missing and back firing through the induction side.

all plugs are in the correct places (i've checked it against my mates 4x4)

any idea's? can it be the loom?

i can borrow another loom, ecu with a standard chip and injectors to eliminate them.
by putting the spacer and cam in it should still run should'nt it? when i try to rev it there's nothing there but a back fire

L6 ECU + 4x4 Loom

4x4 PF09 TPS

Have you swapped the outer 2 wires over on the TPS yet?

yes swap the two outer wires

heres a few things to check

double check your cam timing,

zero the global mod screw

make sure you have no air leaks,(pressure test)

check and adjust the tps setting

check and adjust your fuel pressure, it may not have been running std pressure before, and it should be now!

check the earth wires on the loom are present and connected to the plenum tightly

check ecu voltage

5 turns anti clockwise, then 2.5 turns clockwise will gert it close to zero.

to set the tps, use a multimeter and measure the signal voltage is correct at closed throttle and wot, also check it has a steady sweep

a new loom is always a good idea!

as you have changed a lot of major parts, a good set up wouldn't go a miss

i have narrowed the problem down to either the chip, ecu or the inlet plenum and tps.
the inlet plenum can off i running car which i know, so i don't think its that so its either the chip or ecu.
i put my l6 ecu back on, injectors to match and my 2wd plenum back on and it runs fine.

what could cause my car to run ok for 5-10 sec's then miss like hell and won't rev with my new set up?

does the new plenum and t/b have a pf09 tps?

what loom are you curently using?

what fuel rail are you using? does it have a reg that is correctly set?

Are you sure the spec you gave us for the chip when ordering is correct?
Has the chip been tested?

It needs to be perfect when your running the equivalent of 8 greys. Also, have you checked the injector part numbers are all the same and correct?

all part numbers are the same on the injectors (fi11405)
what do you mean by has the chip been checked? i bought it new from you.

after getting it running properly with my old set up. i tried changing just the 4x4 tps, injectors and ecu.
it still wont run after 5 seconds. i've reset the c02 screw on the ecu and tried adjusting it a turn either way but still running crap.
any ideas what to do next?

if it runs on your old set up,

when you fit the new stuff are you swapping the two outer wires on the tps?

posibly, if all base settings are correct for the new chip, then get the ecu tested on a running car
