can anyone help i have fitted a magnex 3" exhaust to my cosworth 4x4 its a standard car no mods since fitting the exhaust its not boosting right when the turbo comes in it starts to pop/bang and black smoke comes out has anyone had this problem???????????? or could this be down to something else ????????????

You're hitting the boost limit by the sounds of it, take half a turn of preload off the actuator at a time then re-check it.

Let it come on boost in 5th with the throttle wide open to let it see peak boost

It'll be doing it because the exhaust has less restriction than the one you took off
