Got a 52 reg Mondeo Zetec S daily hack and the middle seat belt won't pull out. I can push some spare back into it but it won't recoil and i wanna take it out to sort it as we go on hols on monday. It inertia reel is actually in the back seat itself. Is there a way to get them out easily ? cheeRS in advance

I've seen this on a couple of mondeos, you can't take the seat appart (well you can but you then have to get it retrimmed)
Try putting the seat back in the folded position then slam it back up into the normal locked position, leave it for a couple of mins then try it, usually works.

not sure if the same on these mondy's but I've got a mk2 that does exactly the same and if you look on the the little black square anchor bit at the bottom of belt next to there shud be a tiny little square hole I put a paper clip in there which releases the belt and then you can wiggle it about a bit and this usually releases the belt then you just reclick it into the holder again.I usually have to do this every year at mot time

The reel is buried in the top of the back seat on the Mk3. I've slammed the seat back up to the upright position and it's working fine now.
