The Neanderthal's brain was bigger than yours is.
1 - we developed more articulate speech as a result of living in larger groups, which led to better knowledge transfer so even though we had less brain power we ended up with more knowledge
2 - we were physically weaker and smaller so required less calories to survive when the icey weather came and food was scarce

The human body begins to dehydrate after a person dies. Because the skin is so dry, it "pulls away from nails and hair." This makes it appear as though the nails and hair are growing, but in fact, it's really the opposite. The body is shrinking.

A cat's urine glows under a black light.
The hardest substance on earth is diamond, yet it will shatter if you hit it with a hammer!
An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain.
