the tg track is for twisty slower motors as well as more powerfull cars so you get a bit of give and take into it
it all depends on which car favours the track tough, but it would be nice to see how much faster the mk2 was than the mk1

This is the episode where they race the 4dr Porsche against a letter posted through Royal Mail all the way up to Orkney
Word got out they were on their way up there and was a fairly big crowd ready to meet them when they came off the boat in Orkney and they were not best pleased !! Refused to sign any autographs or stop to speak to people !!!
Prob desperate to get off there and back on to the mainland !!!

New talent needs to be hosting Top Gear fed up of JC and JM, RH is okay though.

Probably just got the 3door in the background so Clarkson can take viewers down memory lane, like when he always says "I used to have an Escort Cosworth" etc. then introduces the MK2 FRS. Hope it does well and they point out Renault's desperate attempt at beating the RS by including track tyres in the package!

Well that's just it Benni, the Renault is virtually a stripped out racing car with a roll cage and much lighter than the Focus. Even with the weight of a planet, the FRS has beaten it around track on basic road tyres...the only way the R26R can beat it is with the R888's. Well, that's what the general sensus is anyway. Probably proven wrong tonight

Who cares, its built to take corners not bloody straight line stuff!
R26R was .6 of a second quicker than the FRS round the track, same driver, same track. Then was not allowed to go on the board because it ran with the package extra Toyo R888 tyres....personaly I thought it would have been quicker. So dissapointed really, was expecting the Renault to not be on cheating tyres to give a proper challenge
