Starlets look gay as fuck. RS's are old now though, hard to live with everyday in my experience.
Then again, so will most/all cheapish turbocharged cars I imagine?

I would go for a Fiesta RS turbo think it looks better than a starlet.
Becoming a rare car now prefer it to the Escort and starlet.
I do not look like those two clowns with the Burberry.

Starlet gt turbos are very good little cars. Nippy in standard from, they get from o to 60 in 6.8 secs. And the GT's have dropped in value recentley.
They are exactly the same as the glanza mechanically its just cosemtics that are different.

the Galanzas are awsome little cars with a bit of tweeking, the only problem is that if u like to throw them round corners, they can suffer oil surge pretty badly, my mates killed 5 engines that way....
but when they are running well, they are sweet as! his is currently off the road going 1.5 tdo5, should comfortably see him a reliable 350bhp...

i take it this is still passionford???? why the fuck then would anyone on here be recommending a starlet (japcrap) gt turbo, series 2 all the way obviously would be better with efi but mfi is still ok up to a certain amount of power and boost imo, obviously try spending as much as you can to try and get yourself a decent one.

RS Turbo you will buy for 3k and in 5 years it'll be worth 3k.
Starlet you'll buy for 3k and in 5 years it'll be worth 1k.
And all the childern round my way drive starlets, as they're cheap to insure. RS Turbo will break down ALOT more though.........

Obviously i am biased, i would get an escort (had a lot of them blow up but this is what i like) Went in the starlet few years ago at a track day and it gets the thumbs up from me. Stripped and caged with about 190-200bhp and i was grinning all day!!!! If i was 18 again i think it would be the toyota starlet!

My mates 18 yr old daughter had a 1996 one, think it was a glanza???Truely gutless, the interior had even more horrible plastic than my 1988 RST,and mine was designed in 1986!!!Her starbo "thats what the so called 18 yr old car experts call them over here " could'nt go round corners to save its life !My RST,mildly tuned at the time, to 180 BHP would eat it alive, both thru the turns and on the straights.I drove it a few times and personnally could'nt see what the big deal was,my Golf TDI "before it turned into a unreliable dirtbox" was even quicker on the backroads!Regards,Micky
