I saw this Sapphire today going down the A435 out of Birmingham then saw it was a D reg and thought that must be quite rare. When I got closer I noticed what someone had written on the back "Cos-worthless" maybe abit hard to make out I took the photo with my camera photo on the move so the quality isn't that great.
Made me chuckle anyway.

D ran from August 1986 through to July 1987 and the Sapphire 1.6L was introduced in the UK in May 1987, so how is that early?

Besides, manufacturers often hae their own cars on the road ahead of the official launch, like all the new E Class we had at Silverstone and Croft two weeks before 11/6 launch date, or my new car which is ready for collection now, but the model isn't on sale till August.

this post is confusing.

there was fookin loads of early 4dr sierras bitd on d reg's most of them fleet cars.

its early cos the 4dr's came out as mentioned in the uk on a d reg, they only had a few months on the d plate so that made it early.

A guy i used to know had a d plate sapph cos replica.
Reg was d287 pnb, was crystal blue.
