From memory you should have 4 or 5 small boxes on the lefthand side of the vin plate under the bonnet. The colour code should be in the second box up and will be something like F5.

Hi Rossco,
Bit wierd that you replied as I am watching The Dukes of Hazard on ITV!!! Yes thanks I managed to work that bit out. When I look for the code, V6 I think, it shows as two different colours in the workshop manual. The V for one colour and the 6 for another. When I purchased the car the HPI showed a colour change, all the numbers match and nothing is amiss. There is nothing to show the original colour as its seems to have been a pro job and possibly a bare shell respray. The painted chassi plate makes me think it may have been Aubergine. Thanks for your reply.
