Going by your recent posts, it seems even the VXR-R will struggle to be as big a tool as you...

Thats good, apart from the fact it's 60bhp down on the VXR-r has no LSD and stock vxr suspension.

I had a play with one in my A4 with my brother. I do hope it was a crap driver that was the problem as I was all over him like a rash despite having a chunk less power.

Hmm still sceptical about these, if they're so good why are they worth fuck all after about 5 mins I've been in a few of the Vxr astras and a friend of mine also has the corsa version, the build quality is absolutely terrible to put it bluntly, new car 5k miles, 2 new wyheel bearings, new clutch, new driveshaft and the doorcards are loose and squeaking. Probably ok on paper but i wouldn't buy a brand new one as you'll loose loads of ŁŁŁ. I'm sure this model won't be any different.

I doubt it..once rolling the frs with traction will have more power at the wheels.......and no way will the poxhaul be as good handling, they havent made a car as good handling as the equivalent ford for a long time

Anyway, good to see some more interesting cars around

dont get me wrong my misses has a normal vxr and i dont like it at all !!
but if it can do the times there quoting it will be fast.

its got a lsd aswell. !!

and im sure if it can do 0-60 in 4.9 then rolling anit going to be much differnt with a top speed of 170 mph !!

as long as it dont fall to pieces on the way.

If the handling is that bad then why does this car seem to cope so well:

How many have you driven? Im saying as a novice driver and a driver/owner of many cars it was one of the worst handling cars ive ever driven, An ST is far better and more shorefooted...

The VXR-R (and VXR-S) is the VXR tuned up by Thorney so not technically a Vauxhall out of the box offering...

Kind like Prodrive upgrade equivalent (I assume you can order it from Vauxhall with the upgrade from new, however I am not 100% sure, all I know is Thorny do them)

Bye bye which RS? We all know practically ANYTHING can beat the standard older RS's

You been hanging around with cossiebags too long

Corsa VXR are quick cars only been in the arctic edition. Which was impressive considering it was just out of the box. They do have a nice exhaust note.
There something about them that just does not do it for me. Maybe beacause its a Vauxhaull, not a big fan to be honest

Corsas seem too tiny for me, know what your saying just something about the VXR's being Vauxhall. I am becoming a fan of the older Vauxhalls though! (Astra 1,2,3's and Cavaliers!)

Actully starting to like the old Vauxhalls and take notice myself, never was a fan back then.

Out of the VXR's I would have the Corsa (Arctic edition)

What they don't tell you is that at around 155mph the bodywork will start to peel off and the interior plastics will implode.

Ford bliiiiinkers! lol. I hate Vauxhalls historically, but drove the Corsa VXR and thought it was fantastic - tight, handled very well and went like the clappers. Brakes didn't impress.
If the Thorney Astra does everything it says on the tin, it will be an amazing machine and put the Focus to sleep (until a Ford tuning firm with similarly GENUINE racing savvy tune the RS).

Ben

PS - I'd still have a Megane R26-R over the LOT of them!
