Help lowering mk6 escort van?
Just wondered how its done as the axle is under the leaf springs & using lowering blocks would raise it!!!
Looking to take mine done 30-35mm.

or the proper way, and the only way you are going to get 30mm, is to have your springs de cambered, not expensive at all really

Wahay!! I've lost my Virginity!!
Just done mine, "flip" rear axle with spring mounts welded on opposite side of axle, cut 2 coils off fronts = level !!! no parts needed!
and ride's o.k (front lowering springs will follow!!)

and info on how to do it as i want ot do that to mine could you put 75 rated springs on as well

Wahay!! I've lost my Virginity!!
This is how I did mine..
-remove 4 u bolts
-disconnect brake pipes and handbrake cables
-unbolt R/H rear leaf spring mount
-remove axle
-cut spring mount off axle and weld opposite side (with spirit level)
-bolt holding 2 leafs together, turned upside down
-fit axle (on top of spring)
-bolt on plates and u bolts
-remove brake compensator..
JOB DONE!!
took Me 2 Hours..
if You cut front spring by 2 coils, it will match rear. BARGAIN!!
I got 15" et 16, so I had to roll rear arches for clearance..
