take it to tony at mep as he,s local to you ,nice chap too

always get my stuff done there ...he will tell you if it will polish up or need re-grind

if its a std crank then will need first grind
mine is on .25 mains and also .25 bigends and am currently at around the 400bhp mark and all is fine
but wouldnt run more power through it as it may snap lol

if its already had first grind and needs another .50 then would only ever use that on stg 3 power no more ........
personally only good for n/a then in my opinion

i spoke to the guy at cosworth and he reckon'd that as long as its been ground to the bearings that they supply (up to .5) then it'll still be fine for 500.. just what he told me.

have personally snapped 2 cranks at 450 ish that were on a .5 grind ......(one around the front pulley area too )

would love to hear anyone elses views on this though !!!

imo would only ever use .5 grind crank for n/a and not turbo ...... this is based on my personal experience though !!!

lets see how many people use a .5 mains + bigend and what power they are at
and see how long theyve had it like that ?????
cmon all you .5 crank ppl post up your spec and how long its held together

snaped my crank on a .25 only on stage 3.

also drove the care home 5miles with a snapped crank which i thought was pretty inpressive.
