Default USB memory sticks - what size?

I'm thinking on this one

BLOODY HELL

That a LOT of data, and companies that allow memory sticks should now be thinking of protecting their USB ports from unwanted devices to avoid data theft!

Fair play though to the manufacturers

What the fck id like to meet someone who genuinely needs 128GBS of portable storage.

I bought a 16GB one last week, which i thought was big it will do me fine, its also got built in software so i can put a password on it, and more tricks including the ability to put programmes on it and run them within the memory device

I saw an article recently where a data encryption company left a load of memory sticks lying around. On them they had a programme that would capture any details you typed in/websites you visited etc (presuming you found it and plugged it in) and sent the info back to the encryption company. They then contacted whoever plugged them in and offered their services (after shocking them by telling them their password and stuff!)

It was amazing how many of the ones they left about people actually plugged into their machines!

Thats quite interesting, Dan.

My infrastructure manager was not happy I'd put my iPhone on the company WLAN let alone memory sticks that can rip and send info
