This is from a thread on ts about zetecs

a mate of mine tried to fit my stock 2.0 cams (from my 1994 silvertop) to his 1995 1.8 silvertop - and they wouldnt fit.

however i bought performance cams supposedly for 2.0 blacktop and they fit straight into my silvertop.

so i assume this means all the 2.0 cams are the same from blacktop to silvertop, but some 1.8 cams arent - looks like you need the 130bhp/ps cams from a RS1800i fiesta if you want to upgrade 1.8 cams.

one of the cam pulley torx bolts is proper seized into the wifes focus cam, black top 1.8

i have a spare 1.8 silver top head and cams, the easy option would be to just swap cams if they fit

IIRC - (and i could be wrong) the silvertop engines were hydraulic lifters and the blacktops were solid lifters - could well mean the cams aren't interchangable
