The bumper is a bog standard Mk1 XR4x4 item that was supposed to be all black, but the painter forgot to do the top pad!!!! It's coming off soon for a three-door bumper to go on as soon as it has been painted, along with the mirror covers, rear spoiler, and grill mesh. No more pics till they are on the car - it looks kind of naked without them.
The 4i is becoming more sexy than the 3door for me at the moment, they are just getting rare and for me a xr4i with a 24v in it, is just how they should have been made.
Mk1 was the 6 light (think thats right) shell. In the mk2 the XR4i was a 5 door Dohc in the UK and 3 or 5 Door in Europe. But the 3 door shell was the single rear side window as in the 3 door cossie shell. Euro 3 doors also got the wind deflector on the side rear pillar, the black bit you can see on mine.
yer mate the first xr4is were the mk1s wiv the slit quater window, i stronger shell than the cosworth i would of said, these were built before the cosworth first built at the end of 82,
If you mean the black car the Momos were 7.5j x 16 - 305mm front discs. I wanted the smallest wheels I could fit over the brakes for ride/handling reasons
here are few pics of my old 4i before i bought my cossie most people have probably seen it i had her 14yrs and did plenty of shows and it was in fast ford!sold her to someone in crewe about 2yrs ago and not seen since so if anyone has seen her would be nice to know she is still being looked after
I can't post piccies, but can email, you some of me dads if you want, tvr crossbolt engine otherwise externally std, with sexy 3 spokes(mine), pm me you addy and I'll whizz the piccies over for you to host.

here's one of my xr4i's, had it 2 1/2 years and still not got round to finishing it. i've only ever drove it home!!
cheers Matthew
no i bought this one off an old guy up in kendal who'd had it since 1987. he bought it off a guy who was a manager at ford. it was totally original when i got my hands on it, its only covered 66,000 miles.
i just had all the kit painted satin black and just had the bumper done the same, the lad that painted it said he did it at low pressure which gives it a similair look to the kit
