my dad -Brian Mcclintock Snr 5-1-1959 - 21-6-2009 r.i.p
as alot of you guys know my father had been battling cancer since he was diagnosed with it in november 2008 ,
he finally lost his battle yesterday at 10:30 am where he passed away peacefully in his bed at home .......
he was, is and always will be my everything , he was not only an amazing father but also my best friend ,my workmate of over 10 years .
he dragged me out the shit more times than i care to remeber , was always there for advice, help or anything else i could need and whilst like everyone one we fought and argued it was because we were two peas in a pod lol,
he fought the disease right to the bitter end , never letting it get the better of him , always with a smile on his face even when suffering or in pain , always flirting with the nurses ,cracking jokes about me and him going surfing or rollerblading ect ,
he made the person i am today , the man ive became and his legacy will live on through me , he gave me my attitude to life , my adventurous spirit , the way its good to live a little and not worry about making a fool of yourself when it makes people smile , my personality and my happy go lucky smile ,
to all the people over the recent months who have kept in touch with me and not only provided moral support for me in recent times , but also sent well wishes for my dad ( you know who you are guys ) i thankyou from the bottom of my heart , as does my family .......
he will be cremated this coming saturday morning ( anyone wishing to attend feel free to pm me )
thankyou for everything guys ,
sincerely

Sorry to hear that Beefy, our thoughts and condolences to you and your family. Incidently, I lost my grandfather 2 months ago and gave the old guy a good send off by playing a duet with my cuz at the funeral (background of brass bands). Would have been proud, as I'm sure your dad was of you

Sounds like he was an awesome guy, who managed to be there more for you in his short 50 year life than many men can manage in a full lifetime, you must be very proud to be his son
Deepest condolences on the loss mate, I dont look forward to the day I lose my father but sadly it comes to us all in the natural order of things

Beef honey, you are a credit to your dad! He'll be looking down on you smiling, knowing his son is such a top guy.
Im sure you'll give him the send off he deserves where there will be lots of memories and smiles to see you through the day.
Keep on with your cheeky smile...

Beef I send my love to you and family at this sad time for you all.
You highlight in your post above that your Father was much much more than just that, a dear dear friend to you too. You can be sure for that reason alone he will be super proud to have such a thoughtful son.
I send my wishes to you and those closest to you, hope you give a cracking send of for your hero father.

the honest truth is beef i have absolutley no idea what to say to you
i realy want to be able to do or say some thing that will make things easier but i cant and iv been around a few mates that have lost parents and its not an easy task to sort out your feelings in your head the only advice i can give mate is do your bit your way and be proud of what you have done for him

Beef you restored a motorbike for your Father didn't you? I hope either you or another family member can ride it as a good gesture to him.
Really hope he has a good send off.
