Mike You can get bargains on ebay, but the best place is local paper (admag etc)
my mate just bought a set with mixer for Ł110.

i wanted the technics sldz1200's but after using them i preferd the pioneer's,
its a shame cos the technics look the best!!

Mike its hard to get tunes on vinyl now. Most of it is all cdr.

I used to think like you, i hated c.d,until i had a go on some, but cd turntables like any of the above ^^^^^^ are the same if not better than 1210's, and you may not believe it but are no different to mixing, than vinyl.
I personally find mixing the same if im on vinyl or cdj

I like the Denon's, i had a pioneer cdj800 mk2 which weren't bad but prefer the denon's to that, although i'd prefer a pair of pioneer cdj 1000's

I have a set of 1210's djm 600 and hd25's, thats all you need!
Its sad whats happening to vinyl
I know I can't really comment about cd's as I've never really tried the propper cdj stuff but I often only know a song by the colour of the record cover/picture so how can you cd people know what a song sounds like by just looking at a book of hundreds of cdr's that all look the same??? CD's just seem wrong

do you have a local record shop?
you can get some stuff on vinyl via online, but the amount coming out on download is 100 times more

This is my setup :

Mk3 1210's
Roland Mixer
25 Year old Pioneer Digital Amp
ATC SCM20 Loudspeakers
Denon Monitor

Loads of vinyl, got a pc rigged up there too but just got to mount the screen on the wall similar to someone else showed above then find something like Virtual DJ so I can make use of all the mp3's I have.

My rooms a proper mess at the moment

Its not all about size

My old speakers were a pair of Jamo 365's which were HUGE and basically just loud no real quality and way too much for a bedroom so I started using the smaller ATC 20's which are possibly a bit overkill for a dj setup but they do give a superb sound.

Flux, yeah a pic of the set up in the club would be good.

Johnny, is that in your living room? i would love to make my 1210's a feature in my living room one day.

Costina, you havnt even seen my speakers, put it this way, i only got one wired up cos its too powerful for the room.

Its my sitting room mate, I'm fortunate enough to have 2 rooms in the house

Got quite a good setup for when I do eventually decide to move out though
