prime returns in season 3 episode 8, dark awakening (one of my favorite episodes) and again in season 3 episodes 29 and 30, the return of optimus prime

season 4 also has prime leading the bot's

also, in the cartoon's, prime totaly owns megatrons ass, but in the film's they show him as a bit of a pussy

this is due to the fact that the film follows a different continuity to the cartoons or the comics i nthat prime and megatron were brothers, prime was the prime minister of cybertron and megatron was the leader of the armed forces who then had a military coup of the planet and divided the transformers into their different factions

there was, from what i can remember, some inca bint, carly, that one in a wheel chair and the one who had her face burnt to cinders as far as "fit girls" went in the cartoon

you also had the female autobots in the form of aleta one (prime's bird) and arcee (springers bit on the side and daniel's foster mum) plus a few others

and it's OPTIMUS PRIME

apparently, a complete metroplex with all the bits is worth a shed load of money, around twice what a boxed pepsi prime is

how?

the storys are different every episode, just like eastenders

the main thing is that there are 3 or 4 different variations on the origins and histories of the tf universe and this one starts another one rather than carrying on with the tried and tested slight subtle variations on the originals

not that i'm saying it's not a good concept, just that they could have at least stuck to the same robot/vehicle combinations*

*they didn't because there is no way they would have been allowed to flog megatron toys that could be converted to walther p-38 pistol nor could bay have passed up the oprotunity to have as many mack trucks as he could smash up for free rather than buy several peterbuilts

I still have about 100 Transformers at my parents house in a Sega Megadrive box

And I keep looking for G1's on ebay

And to be fair, watching a film at the cinema is fine, but if you can watch it on your own comfy sofa, with a beer, and in high definition then it's all good

Well i went to see it last night and gotta say it was fuckin brilliant! One of the best films i've seen for a while (i go every week)

The thought of it being 147mins long did put me off when i sat down in my rather uncomfortable cinema seat but i didn't even look at my watch once the film flewby!

Some proper awesome CGI and i think the end left it perfect for a number 3! It actually had a good storyline aswell which i think made the film.. And Megan fox... shit the bed........ how nice!

My brother (Not JB) has alot of Transformer toys. I can't name them as I dont know what ones he has, but his spare room has shelves of them and a few piles of them in boxes

I brought him an original Ravage (Casette from soundwave) in the box for Ł75 once. Apparently his worth some ŁŁ's??

Went to see it last night. Megan Fox is stunning! Thought the first half of the film they were trying far to hard to be funny. Decepticons still resemble insects for some reason. Thought the story line of them being on earth before in the past was thin, but it is a story about transforming robots lol All in all an ok film like the last. Certainly not brilliant

I agree with PT.

Good film but IMO not as good as the first one

I think the first one simply blew me away with the cgi, this time round though I knew what to expect and although it was impressive I felt it had maybe gone a bit too far.

Megan Fox was hotter this time round though and the college bird was equally as stunning even if she did turn out to be a robot

7/10 for the film
11/10 for Megan Fox

the fox wasn't nearly as foxy in this one other than the bit at the start when i thought she was going to get nekid

overall, an excellent flick, i shall watch it several times more at the cinema, made even better by the fact that several audience members left their chum asleep in the back of the cinema at the end of the film

her tit's look fake, there was way too much seperation between them, no clevage at all, it was like someone had just missed when they were pegging hem into place

or it might be her sports bra holding them that way

an the other doris brought a whole new meaning to deep throat

i went there thinking it would be good, but never in my wildest dreams did i think it would be such a good sequel, and it's set up the 3rd part perfectly

Indeed, a si-fi special effect fest on the big screen is soo much better.

I got the first on DVD and while when I was in the cinima I loved it, it just didn't work as well on DVD

Unless I get a 52" telly and they release it on BLU-Ray

you will be kicking yourself for not having watched it sooner mate

it really is a 57 out of 10 film

as for taking it seriously, due to not a lot of peole having seen it in it's short release time, i shall spare my venom and wrath for a few weeks yet, there is a HUGE problem with one thing and an EVEN BIGGER issue with something else

if you want to know, when you've seen the film let me know and i will explain where they have gone and missed a spectacular opportunity to turn the tale way way in a diferent, but original, angle

i thought the swearing was a little "harsh" but not as much as it could have been

whilee was the main prpetrator, although the twins also had their fair share, but they generated a lot of laughs with it

Wicked film. Really liked Jetfire too, shame he had to kick the bucket.

Speaking of what things are worth, I wonder how much all the original Transformers comics No. 1-250 are worth? (Found them in the loft when moving out)

depends on which ones they are

american marvel or uk marvel

i've got a few myself of the uk marvel versions but i won't be flogging them as they are my gift to my kids

jetfire though does tie into the original storylines and is big enough to be believeable, after all, he was twice the size of starscream but they should have done something about their friendship milenia ago in the distant past

Went to see it tonight, and actually, it was a lot better than I thought it would be. I have a couple of complaints however....

i) That final action sequence was far to long.
ii) Michael Bay really needs to slow things the fuck down and sort his continuity out, the number of irregularaties and confusing jumps in some of the sequences didn't make any sence! Seriously, one second somone is on the floor, and the next min they are sprinting away! One second a transformer is in vehicle mode, then robot mode, and then vechicle mode again in the blink of an eye!
iii)What was the point of Megan Foxes chareter other than to look good. She spent the whole movie trying to get Sam to say "I love you"

All in all, not bad, even the Mrs enjoyed the first half of it.

i agree that there was just too much action, probably to make you want to get it on dvd/bluray or go and see it several times in the cenima to make sense of eveything that goes on, the frantic pacing towards the end just made things more and more exciting i thought

don't forget she's the love intrest and the comedy moment, plus someone needed to capture whilee

and, on that note, it would have made much more sense to have had the fallen being the quintesons, they made their faces look the same

so it would have been a brilliant way to create a back story streatching back past 11 million years rather than the 17,000 they've been lumbered with in this arc

Bah Weep Grah Nah Weep Nini Bong!

Yeah, I thought The Fallen looked a bit like a Quintesson. (The head anyway)

Was it me, or was Starscreams voice more "screechy" in the new film?

it did seem a little winey, but they couldn't have got anyone to compare to chris latta for the original, he was unique

but i was very disturbed to hear soundwave sounding like cr claw from inspector gadget he shuld have been the most robotic of robotic voices

Apparently the original bloke voiced it as well! Should have stuck to the G1 voice as it would have been a nice nod to the cartoon. Oh well.

I thought it was a shit film

The robots and megan were ace to watch, but I seriously hated the storyline, and hated a lot of the humour they tried to pull off.

First thing I hated was the hot chick who turned out to be a robot - now I don't know a lot about the comics/history etc, when I was younger I was just a massive fan of the cartoons - but to me, that was too far fetched (yeah, I know, we're talking about giant robots that turn into vehicles, which in terms of reality, is far fetched in itself) If they are so advanced that they can turn into realistic looking and acting human beings, whats the point of being a 100ft tall robot that will stick out like a sore thumb? Don't get it

Another thing - the taser guns. They all zapped the security gaurds in the arm or chest and they were knocked the fuck out, but when the young guy got zapped in the neck, he was out the car and running about a couple of mins later. Aye, I know it may have been a lesser voltage or whatever, but still, come on??

Sam dying, then being met by all the Primes and coming back to life - what a lot of shite!

And lastly, I thought the name of the film was really cool when I thought "...The Fallen" referred to Megatron, kind of like a fallen warrior, and he was gonna come back in this one and kick ass. When I found out it was actually the name of a robot that got fucked over thousands of years ago, to say I cringed is an understatement.

As I say, I don't know anything about the history or comics etc, so I'm sure Dojj, you would have been cool with all that went on and didnt bat an eyelid, but it ruined it for me.

Mint bird, mint cars, mint action sequences, poor storyline.
