HID H4 Kit for Sierra Headlamps
Can anyone recommend a HID H4 kit for fitment into Sierra Sapphire Headlamps.
Ideally a kit you know works or have fitted with success
or has anyone fitted a HID kit to there Sierra and was it a simple plug & play job or did you have to start cutting and soldering wires from the headlamp wiring loom?

Ordered 53kits around january, superb quality and great prices.
It's 3 wires you need to connect. Live(12+), earth, and a plug-in-socket for your original H4 contact(for high beam, low beam). Done in 15mins from bonnet-up :P

they are all the same. just get them from any ebay seller. i have recently purchased one for my bike off aurora engineering who gave good service when i needed to change it as i bought the wrong type
you want bi-xenon that uses one bulb for dipped and main (moves the 'filament' using a solenoid)

Dual-kits, but you can get them singlekit also, but then you only get lowbeam and who wants that
I haven't recieved a single complaint about any of the kits I ordered, and with that many I was expecting at least five or six DOA's

Saph cossie, H4 bi xenon if you still want to keep high beam on the outer set of headlights.
I've got 6000k on mine (I'll find a pic on in a sec but its very similar to smits by the looks of it). On reflection however I think I'll buy the 5000k next time as they look a bit too blue for my taste now.

20K+ Super Poster.
Some kits will have a resistor in the line from the oe lamp connector, to stop the warning, so it still thinks there is a bulb there, some don't but you can always fot these easy enough.
The H4-4(5000K) kit I used on me other halfs astra, puts out loads of light, is ace on dip, don't really ever need mainbeam, which is just as well as it's shit, the "height" difference between dip and main is so great you can't get a really good compromise, so I thought set it right on dip.
The only thing I would add is that as there is so much more light, any stray light is also amplified, just by chance I needed to clean a lamp out on the astra as there had been some bulb explosions in there, turned glass cloudy on inside anyway cleaned that and thought no more of it.
Now I have one ace dip beam, cleaned glass one, the other is very fuzzy, swapped bulbs same result, so it seems that just general accumulated dirt/dust on inside does this, might be a goo idea to clean the glass on the inside first.
The kit I got has a fixed filament, but a metal shield moves to cover and uncover to select dip main beam, same clonk as in video.
Would I do it again ?, no I would stick with Philips Extreme bulbs relay the headlights(as I did), as there really is very little difference on dip beam between the two, but I have a ace main beam on the philips bulbs, though with cossie having a seperate inner main would be much better.

Looks like the right kit to me mate, but you've picked the 55w versions.
I got mine many years ago so its a totally different kit (they've been improved loads since!). You probably dont need the 55w, the 35w will probably be fine!
Somewhere I've got a comparison photo of some 55w halogen bulbs against my HID kit and the difference is loads! (in favor of the HID kit)

This pic shows the blue in the 6000k bulbs a lot more.
On the left is a 55w halogen bulb with a blue coating (I cant remember exactly what ones they were) on the right is the 6000k HIDs4u bi xenon kit (there was no 35/55w kits back then it was just one kit).

I've certainly seen a few badly fitted kits on saphs where the lights were so bright you couldnt look at them straight on - they were worse than on full beam!
I cant imagine needing 55w versions.

yes thats the right kit for the saphs. (but its not what I have in mine - I have a much older kit they dont do anymore - these new kits seem better!)
The supreme vision bulbs seem to be the ultimate setup to go for but there's quite a price difference and seems to really only be of benefit for high beam use! I'd stick with the pro plus bulbs unless money was no object!
Colour wise is personal preference, but remember that oem xenons are 4300k and the blue tint is caused by the prism effect in the projector lens separating the colours - which you will never achieve with standard saph headlights.
Mine are 6000k, but if I ever need to replace them I'll get 5000k next time - less show, more efficient.

Agreed, I've had 3 kits off these guys. They've always been excellent. Never caused any problems with the cars electrics and really easy plug and play installation.
They also spend a lot of time with the bulbs to prevent them from glaring in non projector style headlights.

Lol yeh I i realised Im gonna be outlaying a fair amount but they look the bollox!
re MOT bit of a grey area.
Technically cars fitted with HID xenons should have headlight washers (the saphs have) and are self leveling (saphs do not have).
But I think so long as it produces an acceptable beam pattern (which you get with hids4u's kits) you will be ok.
