I am having lots of work done to my house in the new year, so have had a radiator removed from one wall in preperation, but the pipes are still there etc and the water flow to the removed rad is turned off by the bleed screws in the two pipes, now is it an easy job to wack the rad back in? and can i use them coupler thingys, the instructions say that there are intended to connect to bits of pipe in a central heating system but i wanted to check, heres a piccie of the coupler thingys

 

yeh mate but think you'd be better off using brass connectoer then solder em

 

i only want a quickie fix, as its only gonna be used for a couple of weeks

 

Yep those can used just as well as brass thingies

 

YOU can use the speedfit connecters but make sure the 15mm copper you are pushing into them has been cut with a pipe slice cos with a hacksaw the copper might fook the rubber o ring inside

there are two types one which when you push it on you can not get it off without cutting the pipe again and the other that you can remove when you need to, but can also be used as a permanent fitting. The connector that you can remove is a lot bulkier and has a sort of inner piece attached with which you use to release it. permanent ones are just the one piece, not recommended if it is just a temporary measure.
