M4P to MP3 conversion?

What software deals with this effectively?

It's not for me, someone mentioned it to me today, so I don't really even know what an M4P file is!!

If you mean MP4 which is a video file, and to convert it to MP3 would basically just be the sound from the video

If that is what is wanted there are lots of convertors out there to do this

ImToo stuff is usually very good

No, I don't think an M4P is the same as an MP4.

Basically an M4P file is an MP3 file that Apple laid a protective encryption on (DRM) just like Napster did with their stuff.

The other way of doing it is to leave the DRM protected file in itunes and then just download the mp3 from the millions of free mp3 download sites... I have used a few in the past like http://www.mp3raid.com etc which are pretty good. Saves paying Apple for something else
