But at the momnet no 2k engibne either natrually aspitated or turbed has made over 160 mph

C&B at 7000 i think oli's was 178

Pulled just under 6k to get 155.7

So at 6200 same as yours it would be about 163 if i read it right.

Dunno Dingy, you lost me a bit there.

I can tell you that at 6600rpm, mine made 164mph on the Rollers, which also registered 164mph on my Blitz speedo. OK, so you have to account for Aerodynamics etc.

I couldn't read revs accurately on Monday, but my 6200rpm Shift light had been on for a while, so I guess I was at around 6400-6500 as I never hit the limiter. After changing gear at 5800rpm in every gear to avoid the missfire, I had driven through it in 5th, which cost me a couple of seconds. I reckon without that and with a 6700rpm limit, I can do better. Thats enough of the talk, Give me access to Brunters again in a few weeks when the car is back together and I will have a go!! I am confident that my car will do 166mph at Brunters, making it the fastest RST in the country. That said, maybe it won't.

If you had plenty of room left and more in it to come, why didnt you do more, I mean the mag was there and everything so surely you would want to do the best you possibly could?... Christian tried and tried and tried.. but 161 odd proved to be his best... how many runs you have and what they come out at ??

And if ya pull 6200 in top you will be doing that top speed regardless of aerodynamics as you pulled it.

Olis has aerodynamic issues we think, does 155 and thats it LOL...

i only had two runs maybe thats why! i blew up 4 engines in my fiesta doing top speed runs! so maybe i was a bit scared to go ne more! to say with a slipping clutch i got a 5.8 0-60 and a 14.1 quater! the car has done a 13.02 quater b4!

I never suggested that you said that your car would do 180mph now, we know it won't, it will do 157mph. Take a look at the spec of both Sunny's and Paul J's car. You reckon you can better that?? You're gonna need a bit more than some extra horsepower and a tall gearbox.
