Default Focus TD Di Problem

Help please guys, trying to diagnose this one from a distance at the moment (havnt seen the car) but from what ive been told

1999 focus 1.8 TD Di Smokes when cold and runs rough ish (prob on three) but seems to clear when warm (not fully)
Has had -
Head , injectors, egr, filter !

Would a coolant temp sensor affect fueling drastically on this engine?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I've just looked round the FFOC for you. The FIEona interface, the box that sits on top of the pump can cause problems. Its the interface between the Ford EECIV ECU and the Bosch VP30 pump.

Ok, looked at the car and could swear it was injectors weaping (although its had a second hand set!).

Cold it starts rough, and smokes diesel, run it and it clears and runs (puffs a bit of smoke).

Whats the best way of testing injectors? I was thinking of whipping ouut the injectors tomorow morning and cranking it over to see if any diesel spits out.
