E39 530/530d sport

Thinking of buying something similar to this, maybe lower mileage.
What do I need to look out for apart from the obvious and what are common faults with the bigger mileages? I assume I need to make sure all the bushes etc have been changed etc so it doesnt feel like an old sloppy boat? It would be a replacement for my Mondeo so am just looking for a comfy mway cruiser with a bit more pace/less noise!
