How old do you think
my Aunt Maud is today.
Well thats her picture, she lives in her own home with no care package & was knitting a jumper when we arrived, she has no sticks (she told me she takes one if she ventures down the road).
Good at crosswords her mind is 100% perfect & can converse as an equal on any subject (except Cosworths). Her sight is good enough to read complex knitting patterns that total confuse my Missus. We talked as normal so her hearing is also fine. Her only concern is her daughter is getting old & now bed ridden & is not expected to last long.
I asked her what she really wanted for her birthday & she said a meal at a posh place with waiters ive never done that, so next week shes my guest at the poshest of local places waiters & all

She's dead Rod! About 3 years ago, smoked and drank all through her life and still out lived plenty of others!

OK shes 102 today & a fine old lady. At here 100th she did the hokey Kokey, then dressed up & did a music hall routine with her daughter who was 78 
, freaky to be so fit at that age.

. Thats two lifes she's had really! Ive seen 70 odd year olds look older.
Would have been good if she was born 7 or 8 years earlier though, then she'd have lived in 3 different centuries!

Although thats a very scary but true fact of this era, as many parents are likely to outlive their children thanks to the obesity spiralling out of control in the UK. And thats a 110% true fact

My gran will be 99 in a few months time and still lives herself but her eyesight has been very bad for about 15 year snow, She does have a homehelp that pops in in the mornin now and last thing at night to make sure all is ok in her 3 bedroom house
She outlived her oldest son (My uncle Jimmy) and was very gutting for her and my grandad bigtime which led to my grandad actually dying a short period after which was a tough time for the family obviously.
Worst bit off all.........she doesnt even want to be here anymore an that comes from her own mouth

She almost certainly will her daughter has had a major stroke & cannot speak or move its causing Maud a lot of stress.
Theres a funny story about Maud up untill 100 she mowed her own lawn & then decided it was a bit much & asked her son in law to help out, he managed it only once before declaring he could not cope with it, Maud said to me she could not believe it was beyond him, he was 82
