Painting Brake Drums - Chav or not???
As title, getting my new Cossie brakes fitted to the front, callipers going red.
The drums are needing painted too, if I get them red too will it look naff?
Should I just get them re-done black?

saying that the drums i had on the rear of my old celica were big fuckers. i still binned them for a supra rear axle and discs though for much improved braking.

Mine are black, although heading for the bin soon
Painting them colours used to be seen as a 'cool' thing to do back in the day, but then so was wearing all-in-one shell suits
I dare ya

Got to be black TBH. And spend some time on the prep work or they will look terrible regardless. Mine had originally been painted in a simple aerosol which was simply flaking off. Rubbed them down properly and spent some time preparing them right before painting them with decent paint.

Any paint will do, although a better finish will be had by not using aerosols. Mine were enamelled, hence the gloss finish, although the coating should be very hard-wearing.
