They dont like the English in Cork.

We went about 2 years ago on a stag do.... after Tiffs do in Dublin which was ace I was expecting more of the same.

Over the weekend 3 of us got into the same pub twice and we were all allowed into the bar next to the hotel.

Other than that we were not allowed in any pubs or bars apart from 1, I forget the name but it was down a side street on the left, off the main drag, as you walk away from the river, the left is just before a big macdonalds.

No other place wanted to serve us, one bar man actually told us he was closed as he pulled a pint for some locals.

The bar we all went too in the end was actually ok, sports type bar loads of TV,s and good beer but we all had to go and change for the evening as its very much a shoes and trousers/smart jeans place, when we went back it was full of fit gash, seemed to be the place to be. The land lord told us it was one of only a hand full of pubs that let stag do's/groups of english people in.

i think they might be begging you to come into their pubs now,as jobs are going quicker than here .
