Default Quick Wheel Size Help....

I'm running 205/40/17's on my current runaround but i need to sort a steel spare out.

What size should i get so the car still sits ok?

16" Steel with a 55 sidewall?

Any ideas? lol

If you need to call out the RAC or AA for changing that wheel (not saying you aint capable, but ya never know) they will refuse to do it unless the spare is of the same size as the rest of the wheels.

I got caught out with that one.... (i had no wheel brace on motorway btw )

An old car of mine had 17" alloys on it and the fronts rubbed when on full lock so failed mot. Had to change fronts to standard 14" wheels and left the 17's on back. It passed its mot then lol
