a grand would be for a brand new one, not a recon.
at least the turbine housing would last a while
is your old housing any good Kev?

Its the exhaust housings that cost the money on those sadly.
I would do as Doug suggests anyway though and get a 3071 internally gated, ie a "cossie rich spec" one

Not if its mapped with that in mind.
Moderate midrange boost to give same sort of torque as a T34, then just hold onto it for a lot longer up the rev range, they drive nicely like that

£1043 plus mapping and a 4x4 inlet and spacer if you don't have one. Pretty expensive.

TT ones have .55 housing
if the housings are ok then just replace the centre core, would probably be about £400.

When i phoned Matt i did ask what exhaust housing was fitted and i was told a .63.
Also said they would take any T3 as the exchange.

they were talking shit, the t34's come with a .55 unless its a brand new escos one or you pay the extra for a .63, also the TT ones for a sierra have a modded comp cover that takes a standard size airfilter hose
they do normally take a T3 as exchange though as you said.
