unfortunately so many go pop for that exact reason - always get it checked for fueling on wideband

i aint got alot of sympathy then! -it only costs around Ł150 for a set up
Ł150 set up or Ł2000 (DIY) engine rebuild, i know what i'd choose
hard lesson learned i suppose
i bet the fueling was all over the place
good luck with it

Not taking sides here boys but you gotta admit LHD220Turbo does have a point.
Chris knew the risks but still ragged the arse out of it.

you taking the piss?
what's smart about getting a car checked for fuelling?
you choose to post on a public forum that your brother blew his engine up, by not getting it set up and doing 150mph runs and ragging it.
if you think that is being a "smart alec" then you are clearly very thick

Exactly mate, it looks like the loom could have been faulty and caused it, and just for the record a few years ago i had a car set up by power engineering and two weeks later put a hole through the piston, i hear what you are saying lhd220 but it can still go pete tong.
