Default focus central locking.

does anybody know how to programme the key to the car? my focus seem's to have forgotten the code. there's a new battery in the key but it's stopped operating the central locking. and it also reset's the trip meter when starting the car up.. anybody have any idea's what could be up?

as regards to remote programming.key in ignition then turn from accessory to ignition 4 times,on 4th time you will hear a chime, press the lock button on remote and the car should chime telling you keys now been reprogrammed.
with the trip meter it sounds like your instrument cluster is about to pack up
