Anyone watch this? I have to say I see a lot of similarities in my life.
Anyway, if you know the original you can see it's actually quite cleverly written, incorporating some of the original styles and personalities in it, just with a new twist. Although to be honest I still prefer the originals. Leonard Rossitter was just awesome.

Watch the original, when first broadcast, was brilliant.
Started with the new one, not too sure in first 2 episodes, trying to compare to the original is off putting.
After last night forgetting about the original, just looking at the new one and I beleive it will be just as good.
Slightly more interesting as there are more modern references to take the piss out of.
Good choice of Clunes for this one

Ive never seen the orignal, maybe too young (im 23) so im not comparing it. I think that its good. About the only decent thing on tv right now (aswell as Heroes & The Apprentice).

I think Martin Clunes is brilliant in whatever he does. The original first series I found absolutely hilarious, if you haven't seen it you're missing out, I'd recommend it to anyone. I think towards the end of the last series of the original they probably starting running out of ideas, but it was still good.
Leonard Rossitter was just a genius, be it this or Rising Damp.
