Cossie fan belt question

Default Cossie fan belt question

The engine i have in my 3 door has a 4x4 exhaust mannifold on it i have fitted new fan belts & the alternator heat sheild wont fit the alternator is too close to the exhaust manifold. has anyone had this prob im sure longer fan belts would do the trick anyone know what ones are slightly longer that i can buy?

most use the 2wd manifold so you might not get many replys

try a longer belt if you can get them

I might buy a standard one & take it to a factors n see what they got, its a harvey engine & was mapped on the 4x4 manifold so dont want to change it

would an alternator drop bracket give you any more space

will measure the size of mine as i had a drop bracket on it and swear i had to use longer ones because of it!!! Car has been off the road 2yrs so cant remember but going round my mums later today!

That would be great mate thanks , chops the engine was mapped on the 4x4 one it would like to keep it the way harvey done it
