Always miles away - SportKA
Why is it every time you see the right car - its at the other end of the country.
Looking to buy a Later reg. Sport KA in grey or blue and I dont think they sold them in Yorkshire - cos you can never find them here (not mint ones anyway).
seen one I wanted to see and lo and behold its in Aberdeen - dont mind travelling for the right car but done too much viewing cr4p and wasted days in the past and reluctant to do it now.
prefer to do the deal on the phone/e.mail - take cash and drive it home.
The sad part is I'm 40 ish and for some reason love the SportKA and want a blue or grey one as a summer runabout around town, and to keep mint and standard for posterity (had cossies and the like in the past - so probably lost the speed bug).
The internet has opened a can of worms - Yorkshire Autotrader used to be my limit for travelling.

Flying from glasgow to southampton on saturday to pick up my mates porker, 487 miles home, route finder says 8hours 30 min
Driven all over the country for cars and had great deals
Get the owner of such car to send you as many pictures of possible that way you no, better than the standard pic you get on auto trader

I am sure everyone has bad stories - last year I went to Southampton from Yorkshire - one way train ticket £ 40
car was NOT as described - and it cost me additional £116 to get back on train - plus 6am to 8pm.
thats only one example -
and I'm glad to say of the many car I have sold via internet websites/e.mails all have gone to first viewer.
so sad to say I generally am very cautious before travelling.
Not desperate anyway - might use the money for another summer car and get a KA later in the year if I cant find one soon.

Team HOTHOT!
I travelled from Huddersfield to Hemel Hempstead on Christmas Eve for my BMW - the right car isn't always at the right place so you will have to make a journey
Nice ride down on the train tho
