Can't be done on a Focus, dealer or not, unless you just pull the plug out and put up with the light being on or use a cheater device to fool the system into thinking it's still there

C-max has a switch.

The normal reason is to a baby chair in the front.

Im sure you used to be able to do it through WDS mate. Fords on ETIS now but i think a Ford dealer will still have the ability to shut it off I could be wrong though

I put one in my Mondeo and it turns off itself. The little red light on the dash comes on with a cross through it to say it's off.

Maybe something to do with weight when the seat belt is used??

My dads has a key hole on the side of the dash, only accessable when the door is opened.

£200 just to turn it off?! Robbing bastards, you should crash it straight through the front of their garage to make it go off, then don't replace it. Daylight robbery.

No way!! It should only be £55 + vat diagnostic time and should take an hour. Take it to another Ford dealer
